James Nixon Daniel was born September 7, 1892, in Chipley, FL, to the first James Nixon Daniel and Octavia Lavinia Langley. He grew up in Chipley and attended law school at the University of Florida.
Villeta Emily McGeachy was born April 26, 1905, in Chipley, FL, to John Ronald McGeachy and Atta Foxie Helms. She also grew up in Chipley.
Nixon and Villeta were married on June 11, 1924, at the First Baptist Church in Chipley. They continued to live in Chipley and had three children: Emily (1925), James Nixon Jr. (1927), and Lavinia Anne (1949).
Nixon was a prominent attorney in Chipley. He died in January of 1968 in Bonifay, FL.
Villeta died on April 12, 1997, in Dowling Park, FL, at the age of 91.
